Film Analysis:

Throughout his collegiate career, Cooper Beebe has played both guard and tackle at a high level with his natural strength and power. Those two traits serve as the core of his ability to play at a high level in the run game and in pass protection.

In the run game, Beebe does a good job of creating momentum at the snap and quickly getting engaged with defenders. Once engaged, Beebe uses his power to drive defenders off of the football and can create running lanes. Beebe has natural power that is evident on run plays. Another element in the run game that Beebe provides is the ability to pull and play in gap/power schemes. Although Beebee has a thick, sturdy lower half, he can still get out in front and serve as the lead blocker on plays. Beebe has the athleticism to climb to the second level of a defense and has enough balance/body control to make contact with second-level defenders.

In pass pro, Beebe's strength is shown in how he can anchor against defenders who quickly go to a bull rush. Beebe plays with a good stance, which gives him the power to sit down on defenders and stop penetration from defenders.

The concern around Beebe’s skill set is lateral quickness and reactionary athleticism. In the run game, quicker defenders may be able to slip his blocks if they use speed and Beebe’s eagerness to get hands-on against him, which causes a balance issue for Beebe. In pass pro, Beebe appears to struggle with defenders who attack the gaps on either side of him. This forces Beebe to lunge at defenders and he loses his technique to properly block defenders. This can result in Beebe holding defenders or failing to make contact.

Beebe is a high-motor/high-activity lineman who has a finisher mentality and should be an immediate asset for teams in the run game while he develops his technique in pass pro to handle defensive linemen who have the speed to work the edges.
