The 2024 NFL Scouting Combine is fast approaching. With the Senior Bowl officially in our rearview mirror, the NFL Combine represents the next opportunity for prospects to improve their pre-draft stock ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft. Every year, outstanding athletic testers elevate themselves a full round or two due to exiting the NFL Combine as a point of conversation.

With that in mind, we've identified five EDGEs who could raise their draft stock at the NFL Combine.

CHOP ROBINSON, PENN STATE

Chop Robinson is among the most athletic edge defenders in the 2024 NFL Draft and that statement should receive validation at the NFL Combine. Robinson is an incredibly explosive quarterback hunter with rare speed, great strength, and terrific agility. Robinson pairs initial quickness with relentless effort and pursuit.

Robinson ran a 4.47 in the 40-yard dash before the 2023 campaign, according to Bruce Feldman's ‘Freaks List.’ Robinson also ran a shuttle of 4.22, had a 10-foot-7 broad jump, and bench-pressed 400 pounds. All of those numbers have likely improved through Robinson's pre-draft training circuit. Robinson will solidify first-round status in Indianapolis.

MYLES COLE, TEXAS TECH

Myles Cole was one of the biggest winners at the Senior Bowl's weigh-in process. He's a twitched-up edge defender with arms longer than 36 inches and an 87-inch wingspan. Few prospects in Indianapolis will possess such moldable traits and measurements.

Cole has reached a max speed of 20.3 MPH, according to Texas Tech's coaching staff. Cole remains a work-in-progress from a technical standpoint, but Indianapolis provides the perfect environment for his size, length, and athletic profile to take center stage.

AUSTIN BOOKER, KANSAS

EDGE defenders with explosive get-offs and ideal length typically turn heads at the NFL Combine. Kansas' Austin Booker checks those boxes. Booker deserved more attention for the consistent practices he enjoyed throughout one-on-one drills at this year's Senior Bowl.

Booker took the desired step forward with 56 tackles and 8.0 sacks for the Jayhawks this past season. Booker is a smooth operator when changing direction. Expect Booker to post eye-popping numbers throughout agility testing drills.

JAVON SOLOMON, TROY

One of the small-school invites to both the Senior Bowl and NFL Combine, Troy's Javon Solomon checked a lot of boxes in Mobile with vines for arms (33 6/8"). Solomon should post freaky testing numbers in Indianapolis. He's been reported to bench press 400 pounds, deadlift 615 pounds, squat 600 pounds, and possessed just 7% body fat heading into the 2023 campaign, per Feldman. Solomon also reached 21.63 MPH according to the GPS.

Solomon amassed 16 sacks and 48 pressures (top 10 among all Group of Five defenders) this past season. No player dominated the Sun Belt quite like Solomon did. Pair that production with Solomon's expected pre-draft testing results and you'll identify a rising prospect.

ADISA ISAAC, PENN STATE

Penn State's other rusher opposite Robinson, Adisa Isaac is every bit athletic and explosive. Isaac must continue to stack consistency to reach his performance ceiling, but he's the typical Happy Valley athlete who should thrive in speed and agility drills. Isaac's evolving pass-rush repertoire should garner plenty of interest once the official testing numbers are in.
