Film Analysis:

Tip Reiman has a unique background as a walk-on-turned-scholarship player. He has a throwback build at the position that aligned primarily in-line for the Illini.

As a run blocker, you won’t find a better one in the class. He’s a powerful mover that explodes off the line of scrimmage. He plays with excellent technique to quickly establish leverage and can wash lighter edge rushers out of the play (Penn State). Could classify Reiman as a further extension of the offensive line with his ability to overwhelm smaller defenders. Plays with outstanding balance and a nightmare to work around as an extra body in pass-pro due to light feet, mass, and above-average technique as a TE.

In space, Reiman remains a projection due to limited targets (24) during his time at Illinois. However, foot quickness, strength, and hands are all apparent for Reiman to holster targets in multiple tight end sets at the next level.

He’s comfortable getting off the line of scrimmage in a two-point (standing up) and three-point (hand in the dirt) stance. Not a twitchy mover but does well to utilize leverage and sell shallow routes. IDs zone quickly and is quick to flip his head around, presenting a throwing window. Wasn’t asked to stretch the seam at Illinois but has the juice to keep defenses honest. Will be a tough guard in man inside the red zone due to his physicality and ability to pluck throws away from his body. Tested well at the NFL Combine, showcasing movement skills at 270-plus pounds that will intrigue teams in need of additional depth at the position.

Overall, Reiman is a riser in the TE class and has the developmental traits to earn snaps quickly within an offense that prioritizes the use of multiple flex talents. He will provide an immediate boost to the run game.

Prospect Projection: Day 3 — Developmental Traits
