The Big Ten went through major changes in the offseason. The conference will now feature a bloated 18 teams in 2024 following the additions of Oregon, USC, Washington, and UCLA. The conference is littered with premium offensive talent as a result.
Big Ten Media Days began on July 23rd and will conclude on July 25th. The conference will produce several first-round picks in the 2025 NFL Draft. We've identified 10 Big Ten offensive prospects with the most upside to impress this campaign.
Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan
Michigan tight end Colston Loveland is a highly skilled prospect. Loveland wins with athleticism, fluidity, and agility. Furthermore, his yards-after-catch ability is extremely dangerous in the open field. He's the top-ranked player at his position heading into the season, and a potential future first-rounder.
Evan Stewart, WR, Oregon
Evan Stewart possesses the athletic ability necessary to defeat opposing defensive backs at all three levels. He transferred to Oregon earlier this year after producing a modest 38 receptions for 514 yards and four touchdowns at Texas A&M last season. Stewart is in line for a massive season as Troy Franklin's replacement in Oregon's offense.
Quinshon Judkins, RB, Ohio State
Quinshon Judkins transferred to Ohio State for the 2024 season after previously playing in the SEC at Ole Miss. Judkins was electric for the Rebels throughout 2022 and 2023, totaling 2,725 rushing yards and 31 touchdowns across those two campaigns. How Ohio State manages his workload versus that of TreVeyon Henderson will be fascinating to monitor.
Ajani Cornelius, OT, Oregon
Oregon offensive tackle Ajani Cornelius met expectations last season after transferring to the program from Rhode Island. Ajani started all 14 games at right tackle for the Ducks. The Harlem, New York native was credited with playing 899 snaps, and allowed zero sacks and just 11 quarterback pressures via 512 pass-blocking opportunities.
Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State
Ohio State wide receiver Emeka Egbuka is an extremely reliable route runner that creates yards for himself after the catch. Egbuka understandably played second fiddle to Marvin Harrison Jr. last season. Now the Buckeyes' clear-cut No. 1 receiver entering 2024, an 1,000 yard season qualifies as likely.
Aireontae Ersery, OT, Minnesota
Aireontae Ersery is one of the most physically gifted offensive tackle prospects in the nation. The Minnesota blocker possesses a massive frame at a listed 6-foot-6 and 330 pounds. Ersery pairs rare size with strength, length, and movement skills that scream franchise left tackle.
Donovan Jackson, G, Ohio State
Donovan Jackson would have received top-64 buzz had he declared for the 2024 NFL Draft. The Buckeyes' primary left guard instead decided to return to the program for his senior season. Jackson is among college football's better interior offensive line prospects.
Tez Johnson, WR, Oregon
Tez Johnson was a big-time playmaker for the Oregon Ducks last season. Displaying incredible chemistry with quarterback Bo Nix as a slot receiver, Johnson produced 86 catches for 1,182 yards and 10 touchdowns. Another standout campaign looms large in 2024 despite sweeping changes to the Ducks offense.
Donovan Edwards, RB, Michigan
Donovan Edwards proved he's ready to spearhead Michigan's backfield in 2024 by rushing for 104 yards, including two touchdown runs of 41 and 46 yards, in the National Championship. With Blake Corum now in the NFL, Edwards will be the Wolverines' primary ball carrier this season.
Dillon Gabriel, QB, Oregon
One of the most experienced and productive quarterbacks in college football, Dillon Gabriel transfers to Oregon for the 2024 season after previously playing at Oklahoma (2022-23) and UCF (2019-21). Gabriel arguably enjoyed a career-best season with the Sooners in 2023, throwing for a personal-high 3,660 yards and 30 touchdowns. He's inheriting an incredible supporting cast this year.
