Week 2 in the Big 12 was littered with exciting showings by various talented prospects around the country. The conference is loaded with first-round hopefuls. The road to the 2025 NFL Draft has already started and showcasing weekly progress is crucial to the resume-building process.
Week 3 has a few major matchups on the Big 12 schedule. Several prospects will have an opportunity to elevate their pre-draft stock. We've identified five in particular worth analyzing.
Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona
vs. Kansas State defense
What To Look For: It was a historic performance for Arizona wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan in Week 1. The big-bodied boundary playmaker caught 10 passes for a program-record 304 yards and four touchdowns in a 61–39 victory over New Mexico. McMillan was considerably quieter in Week 2, totaling just two receptions for 11 yards in a 22–10 triumph over Northern Arizona.
This weekend, McMillan and No. 20-ranked Arizona drew a date with No. 14 Kansas State. K-State lacks a big-time cornerback prospect like JuJu Brents, but they are touchdown favorites after beginning the new season with wins over UT Martin and Tulane.
Dontay Corleone, DT, Cincinnati
vs. Miami (OH) offense
What To Look For: Cincinnati defensive tackle Dontay Corleone is a legit 2025 NFL Draft prospect who suffered an unfortunate setback. Corleone was treated for blood clots in June, a scary incident that threatened to send his 2024 season completely off the rails. Thankfully, he's overcome that ailment and made his season debut in a one-point loss to the Pittsburgh Panthers last week.
Corleone didn't look like a player overcoming a long stint on the sidelines. He recorded six total tackles versus Pittsburgh, one tackle for loss, and one sack. He possesses top-75 potential in the 2025 draft and it's time to re-add him to your radar.
Travis Hunter, WR/CB, Colorado
vs. Colorado State offense
What To Look For: It's worth watching two-way stud Travis Hunter every week, but I'll be paying extra special attention to him as a cornerback against Colorado State this weekend. Rams wide receiver Tory Horton is one of the better receiving talents on Hunter's schedule this season, though he’s yet to record his breakout performance in 2024. Horton was understandably limited to 31 receiving yards versus Texas and managed three receptions for 65 in a blowout win over Northern Colorado.
Hunter is looking for a bounce-back performance after the entire Colorado program was embarrassed by the 28-10 loss to Nebraska last week. Meanwhile, this will be Colorado State’s first performance since it was announced they’ll be joining the Pac-12 in 2026.
Devin Neal, RB, Kansas
vs. UNLV defense
What To Look For: Kansas running back Devin Neal was effective in a 23-17 defeat to a hard-nosed Illinois program in Week 2. Neal averaged 7.2 yards per carry, turning his 14 rushing attempts into 102 yards. In Week 1, he ran wild for 114 and two touchdowns on an overmatched Lindenwood team.
Neal and the Jayhawks are looking to rebound, but UNLV is a tricky opponent. The Rebels blew out Houston 27-7 in Week 1 and embarrassed Utah Tech 72-14 last Saturday. Kansas is the favorite, but they'll require a strong performance from Neal to avoid the upset.
Kobe Hudson, WR, UCF
vs. TCU defense
What To Look For: UCF wide receiver Kobe Hudson is currently the 86th-ranked player in our latest Draft Network Top 100 release. Hudson has been productive and explosive in both of the Knights' wins this season. He's accumulated seven receptions and 165 receiving yards through two contests.
UCF is a slight favorite against TCU on Saturday. The Horned Frogs already own an impressive victory over Stanford this year despite seeing Cardinals receiver Elic Ayomanor torch them for seven catches and 102 yards. Hudson could enjoy similar success.
