Each week, Keith Sanchez will bring you his updated rankings and analysis of the top quarterbacks in college football eligible for the 2025 NFL Draft. See how the top passers rise and fall throughout the season with scouting notes on what happened last week and what to watch for going forward.

Garrett Nussmeier, QB, LSU

Week 4 Stats: Passing Yards: 352 yards | Touchdowns: 3 | INTs: 0 | Completion Percentage: 72.7%

Game Analysis

There may not be a more important player to his team's success than Garrett Nussmeier is to LSU’s. LSU's defense is struggling to prevent explosive plays and their run game is inconsistent, which means the Tigers’ path to winning is simply outscoring opponents by throwing the football. In a home game against UCLA, Nussmeier was once again impressive and had a well-rounded performance throwing the football all over the field. Nussmeier worked the middle of the field and outside the numbers, while also working the short, intermediate, and deep portions of the field and may have had the most impressive throw of the weekend. Nussmeier is looking more and more comfortable and is at the point where he is finding answers to difficult situations that the defense may put him in—a great sign that he understands this offense and the game at a high level.

Takeaway: Garrett Nussmeier is getting better week after week and is playing high-level football at this point. Looking at the opponents played, Nussmeier may actually be the most proven and battle-tested quarterback of the 2024 season to this point.

Current Ranking: QB5

Cade Klubnik, QB, Clemson

Week 4 Stats: Passing Yards: 209 yards | Rushing yards: 70 | Touchdowns: 4 | INTs: 0 | Completion Percentage: 66.7%

Game Analysis

This is a first-time appearance for Cade Klubnik on the QB rankings series and it is well-deserved. Following up on a five-touchdown performance against Appalachian State, Klubnik put on a hell of a performance against NC State this past weekend. Klubnik worked the short game and his running ability to get comfortable and then built on that by hitting some down-the-field throws for some explosive plays. This looks to be the most comfortable version of Klubnik that we've seen and with all of the physical tools that he possesses, he appears to be activating and utilizing them in the right way. Klubnik made plays utilizing his legs, showing off his high-level athleticism and ability to be creative. But most importantly, Klubnik managed to avoid making disastrous plays when he was facing pressure and simply took the check down or threw the ball away. The former five-star quarterback who has all of the physical tools appears to be turning the corner and playing really good football over the past two weeks.

Takeaway: Cade Klubnik has high-level physical tools and if he can consistently show an in-depth understanding of the game there, is no reason why he couldn't continue to elevate his draft stock and rankings amongst the quarterbacks.

Current Ranking: QB11

Miller Moss, QB, USC

Week 4 Stats: Passing Yards: 283 yards | Touchdowns: 3 | INTs: 1 | Completion Percentage: 54.9%

Game Analysis

Rarely does a quarterback have close to a 50% completion percentage and a pick-six and I walk away impressed, but that's exactly how I feel about Miller Moss’ performance against Michigan. We knew walking into the matchup Moss was going to have to find a way to play well while being under pressure from this front seven of Michigan. On Saturday, Michigan's front seven played lights out, causing pressure and being disruptive for the majority of the game. Despite that, Moss was able to make plays fitting the ball into tight windows and showing high-level accuracy. Moss also showed off his mobility, being able to escape pressure, extend plays, and find open receivers to make plays. Moss made a few costly mistakes in this game but I enjoyed watching him operate in difficult situations and try to find the right solutions—more times than not he did just that. As a talent evaluator, these are the games that tell you a lot about a prospect and Moss showed that he was a tough and gritty quarterback.

Takeaway: Miller Moss’ performance won't look good in the stat sheet, but watching the game, Moss did some really impressive things. That’s why I still believe in his ability at a high level.

Current Ranking: QB6
