New England Patriots 7-Round NFL Mock Draft: February

The New England Patriots own the No. 4 overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft. They have a new head coach, franchise legend Mike Vrabel. A massive offseason looms large as they attempt to build around quarterback Drake Maye.

The Patriots have nine selections, so a quality draft is imperative, considering the number of holes on their current roster. We've conducted a seven-round mock draft that addresses some of the Patriots' biggest needs.

Round 1 (No. 4 overall): Mason Graham, DT, Michigan

Many expect the Patriots to select an offensive lineman at fourth overall, but there isn't one worth drafting that high. Alternatively, defensive tackle Mason Graham will likely be the best player available when the Patriots come on the clock, assuming one quarterback, Travis Hunter, and Abdul Carter are the opening three selections. Graham is a dominant pass-rushing 3-tech, and Vrabel coached a similar player in Jeffery Simmons in Tennessee.

Round 2 (No. 38 overall): Josh Conerly Jr., OT, Oregon

In this scenario, the Patriots take advantage of a deep offensive line class to land next year's starting left tackle in the second round. Josh Conerly Jr. is a pro-ready prospect with a high floor. Conerly Jr. possesses advanced hands in pass protection and understands how to utilize arm length to create separation.

Round 3 (No. 69 overall): Savion Williams, WR, TCU

This offense is starved for a true go-to playmaker on the perimeter. Savion Williams is a towering prospect with terrific size and “X” receiver tendencies. Williams possesses a diverse release package and uses explosiveness to create mismatches.

Round 3 (No. 77 overall): Jared Wilson, OC, Georgia

Interior offensive line is also a need. Aging center David Andrews spent the majority of the 2024 campaign injured. Georgia's Jared Wilson is arguably the best pure center prospect in this class. Wilson is an elite athlete who understands how to operate an offense.

Round 4 (No. 105 overall): Trevor Etienne, RB, Georgia

Vrabel is a run-first coach and he'll want to pair Rhamondre Stevenson with another weapon. Taking advantage of an incredibly deep running back class, Trevor Etienne would add a dynamic element to the backfield. Etienne combines vision with quickness, and his lateral agility and short-area explosiveness lead to eye-popping plays.

Round 5 (No. 145 overall): RJ Oben, EDGE, Notre Dame

RJ Oben had a quality Senior Bowl. Production is a question mark, but he possesses the length and athleticism required to develop into a more consistent pass-rushing threat. EDGE is a need that should be addressed in free agency, but drafting Oben would add another developing body to Terrell Williams' defensive line.

Round 7 (No. 219 overall): Gerard Christian-Lichentan, OT, Oregon State

Caedan Wallace and a veteran should probably compete for the starting right tackle spot, but the Patriots could draft another developmental tackle late. Gerard Christian-Lichentan was among the best linemen at this year's East-West Shrine Bowl. Christian-Lichentan measured in with nearly 36-inch arms.

Round 7 (No. 222 overall): Molokai Matavao, TE, UCLA

Vrabel loves two-tight-end sets and Austin Hooper is scheduled for free agency. Moliki Matavao would be a fun compliment to Hunter Henry. Matavao has some untapped potential as an athletic pass catcher.

Round 7 (No. 240 overall): Aiden Williams, OL, Minnesota-Duluth

Offensive linemen, offensive linemen, and more offensive linemen. The Patriots possess enough draft capital to pour a ton of resources into their roster's biggest deficiency. Aiden Williams is a draftable small-schooler who proved he belonged at this year's East-West Shrine Bowl. He also has tackle-guard flexibility.
