Robertson is a traditional pocket passer who excels at standing in the pocket and delivering timing- and rhythm-based throws, while also possessing enough athleticism to escape pressure and create positive plays for the offense.

On passing downs, Robertson demonstrates a clear process and executes at a high level. Pre-snap, he scans the defense and reads key indicators to anticipate coverage. During the play, he processes quickly and works through his progressions decisively, from the front side to the backside of the play, consistently finding open receivers. In clean pockets, Robertson shows excellent footwork, smooth throwing mechanics, and a quick release.

Robertson is accurate at all levels of the field, from short slants and intermediate throws over the middle to deep passes.
