The Draft Network’s Jaime Eisner recently released his post Super Bowl LX 2026 NFL mock draft via the Mock Draft Machine (MDM). Our updated Draft Network Top 100 prospect rankings have served as a reference point for his analysis and decisions. It’s officially NFL Draft season for all 32 teams.
I’ve been selected to dissect Eisner’s latest mock draft. I've identified my favorite selections, scheme fits, and the best prospect not selected. I also have some question marks. Let’s dive into The Draft Network’s latest 2026 NFL mock draft.
Favorite Pick: Jeremiyah Love, RB, Dallas Cowboys (No. 12 overall)
The Dallas Cowboys have chosen to devalue the running back position in recent seasons. They've addressed the position with half measures, sometimes achieving moderate success. Drafting Jeremiyah Love at No. 12 overall would throw that strategy out the window. Still, it would also allow them to be the most dynamic offense in football, with Dak Prescott, Love, Ceedee Lamb, and George Pickens.
The Cowboys could choose to re-sign Javonte Williams and utilize the 12th selection on a more premium position. But the offense would have significantly more upside and explosion with Love in the backfield. Jerry Jones should take the plunge if Love is available.
Biggest Question Mark: Cashius Howell, EDGE, Dallas Cowboys (No. 20 overall)
From one Cowboys selection to another, the Cashius Howell pick at 20th overall would be a little questionable. In this mock-draft scenario, the Cowboys arguably ignored their two biggest needs despite owning two first-round selections. Exiting the opening 32 without a linebacker or cornerback would be a failure.
Howell is an athletic pass rusher who produced 11.5 sacks in the SEC this past campaign. He'll also face pre-draft questions about size and length deficiencies. The Cowboys require long-term upgrades at EDGE following last offseason's ill-advised Micah Parsons deal.
Best Scheme Fit: Colton Hood, CB, Los Angeles Rams (No. 29 overall)
The Los Angeles Rams are reportedly hiring Michael Hunter as a new defensive backs coach. Hunter coached for the Tennessee Volunteers last season (previously at Ohio State). That feels extremely notable, given the Vols have two cornerbacks expected to be drafted in the first round.
The Rams require an upgrade at cornerback and Hunter will be familiar with the 29th selection in this scenario, Colton Hood. Hood was a routine standout at this year's Panini Senior Bowl. The scheme fit feels seamless.
Best Value: Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Denver Broncos (No. 30 overall)
Oregon tight end Kenyon Sadiq is a top-15 overall prospect in this class. The positional value conversation could lead to a draft-day slide. If that happens, a contender like the Denver Broncos would make an excellent selection at 30th overall.
The Broncos' Evan Engram gamble didn't pay maximum dividends. Engram is a potential cap casualty this offseason. Sadiq would qualify as an excellent replacement while serving as a security blanket for quarterback Bo Nix.
Best Player Not Selected: Akheem Mesidor, DL, Miami
Miami EDGE Akheem Mesidor claimed the 17th overall position in our updated Draft Network 100 prospect rankings. Despite that, Eisner couldn't find a first-round landing spot for the well-developed pass rusher. Mesidor was excellent throughout the College Football Playoff during Miami's run to the National Championship, likely establishing himself as a top-32 pick.
