The Tennessee Titans initially agreed to terms with 16 undrafted free agents after the 2024 NFL Draft. Former Tennessee cornerback Gabe Jeudy-Lally was their most impressive UDFA throughout OTAs and mandatory minicamp. Jeudy-Lally appears primed to compete for a 53-man roster spot.
The Titans showed consistent interest in Jeudy-Lally throughout the pre-draft process. The nearby college product received an invite to their local pro day workout. Jeudy-Lally spent two additional hours with the organization following the workout’s conclusion, meeting with head coach Brian Callahan and other members of the front office and coaching staff. Seeing the Titans target him via undrafted free agency was no surprise.
Jeudy-Lally is a well-traveled prospect who performed admirably at several different programs. In 2023, he recorded 47 tackles, six pass breakups, and one interception. In 2022, he had a career-high seven passes defensed at BYU.
The Titans drastically overhauled their cornerback room this offseason. L'Jarius Sneed was acquired via a blockbuster trade with the Kansas City Chiefs, and Chidobe Awuzie was signed in free agency. That gives new defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson a competitive top three that third-year nickel corner Roger McCreary will round out. There's competition for spots behind them.
Rookie fifth-round pick Jarvis Brownlee Jr. should possess the inside track on the No. 4 corner position, but he must stay healthy throughout training camp to confirm that. Brownlee Jr. was sidelined for a portion of offseason workouts with an injury.
Jeudy-Lally has already worked his way up the pecking order. With the veteran Sneed often working on a side field during OTAs and mandatory camp, it was Jeudy-Lally who got bumped up and received reps with the starting defense. The Austin, Texas native has already endeared himself to Tennessee's defensive coaching staff.

One of the cornerbacks Jeudy-Lally is competing with for a 53-man roster spot is former first-round selection Caleb Farley. Farley's journey has been marred by both personal and professional tragedy. In truth, he's still on the team because it's been financially irresponsible to release him. Now entering the final campaign of his rookie contract, the Titans are likely to part ways.
Other cornerbacks on the roster include Tre Avery, Eric Garror, and Anthony Kendall. All three are former undrafted free agents. Avery was a 2022 UDFA who totaled 651 defensive snaps over the previous two seasons due to injuries, but the results haven’t been fruitful. Pro Football Focus credited him with allowing 54 receptions on 81 targets across that time frame.
Garror and Kendall were rookie UDFAs last season. Garror played the nickel but could be deemed surplus now that McCreary will be kicking inside on a full-time basis. Kendall's 53-man roster chances are intriguing after he led the entire team in special teams snaps last season (323).
The Titans have four cornerbacks that are guaranteed to make the 53-man roster. Jeudy-Lally has been outperforming the familiar back-end faces like Farley and Avery. So long as that continues throughout training camp, Jeudy-Lally is well-positioned to claim a role.
Other Titans undrafted free agents worth monitoring are offensive lineman Cole Spencer and former Washington Huskies running back Dillon Johnson.
