Each week, Keith Sanchez will bring you his updated rankings and analysis of the top wide receivers in college football eligible for the 2025 NFL Draft. See how the top pass-catchers rise and fall throughout the season with scouting notes on what happened last week and what to watch for going forward.

Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona

Week 2 Stats: Receptions: 2 | Receiving yards: 11 | Touchdowns: 0

Game Analysis

Tetairoa McMillan may have gotten off to the hottest start of any player in college football with a Week 1 300-yard performance, a program record. Week 2 saw a mediocre stat line with a two-catch, 11-yard performance against Northern Arizona. McMillan's production was a reflection of the entire offense struggling to play well. McMillan’s athletic profile was still present as he is a big-bodied wide receiver who is a smooth mover and is great after the catch.

Takeaway: Tetairoa McMillan’s lack of production for Week 2 does not negatively impact his ranking as the best receiver in the 2025 draft class. McMillan’s talent level is much closer to his 300-yard dominant performance.

Current Ranking: WR1

Tre Harris, WR, Ole Miss

Week 2 Stats: Receptions: 9 | Receiving yards: 130 | Touchdowns: 0

Game Analysis

This Ole Miss offense has hit the ground running to start the season and so has receiver Tre Harris. Harris has back-to-back weeks of more than 100 yards receiving and has already eclipsed the 300-yard mark through two weeks. Against MTSU, Harris worked the short-to-intermediate portions of the field and was a reliable big target for QB Jaxson Dart. Because of his strong frame, Harris is a difficult tackle for defenders and can gain extra yardage after the catch. Harris worked the slot alignment some in this game, which could be a role for him to play moving forward as a power slot/flex TE.

Takeaway: Tre Harris is starting the 2024 season how he ended 2023, appearing to be the most reliable target for Jaxson Dart and being a consistent possession receiver in this Ole Miss offense.

Current Ranking: WR15

Jaylin Noel, WR, Iowa State

Week 2 Stats: Receptions: 5 | Receiving yards: 133 | Touchdowns: 1

Game Analysis

Jaylin Noel is a name to get familiar with. Noel is another receiver off to a fast start to the season with 13 catches for 268 yards and two touchdowns. Noel, in an early-season in-state rivalry against Iowa, was the clutch performer of the game. After Iowa State was down 13-0 at the half, Noel stepped up his play and carried this offense to a victory. Noel provided an explosive play separating from defenders and showcasing the speed to score. Down the stretch when Iowa State needed key catches in pivotal moments, Noel served as the go-to receiver, making nuanced and detailed plays to help put Iowa State in a position to win the game. Noel showed that he is a crafty receiver who has an in-depth understanding of how to separate.

Takeaway: Jaylin Noel should be on everyone's radar as he is a dominant slot receiver who can make big plays that shift games.

Current Ranking: WR10
