The Draft Network recently released its highly-anticipated October update of Draft Network 100, ranking the top 100 draft-eligible prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft. Our in-house scouts spent months combing through tape on more than 300 prospects, conducting cross-checks with one another, and collaborating on the list.
We’re at a crucial midseason mark in the college football season, and these rankings will continue changing as the campaign heads toward the College Football Playoff and pre-draft process. The Draft Network will also have continued in-person touchpoints for evaluation like the Senior Bowl and NFL Scouting Combine.
Until then, we've identified three prospects that are too low on the updated list.
Donovan Ezeiruaku, EDGE, Boston College (No. 97 overall)
Boston College EDGE Donovan Ezeiruaku has exploded out of his shell this season. Ezeiruaku was a decent contributor for the Eagles throughout 2023, recording two sacks and 6.5 tackles for loss. The Williamstown, New Jersey Native is performing like a future top-64 selection this campaign, yet he's still ranked at No. 97 overall.
Ezeiruaku has already accumulated a career-high 9.0 sacks in just six appearances this campaign. The versatile defender is currently on a tear with seven sacks in his latest four showings, including three quarterback takedowns in a one-point victory over Western Kentucky. Ezeiruaku possesses the bend required to win the outside shoulder consistently, and his red-hot motor is evident on tape.
Jonah Savaiinaea, IOL, Arizona (No. 82 overall)
Arizona offensive lineman Jonah Savaiinaea is playing right tackle for the Wildcats this season. He's an extremely versatile blocker who projects as a potential guard at the next level. Savaiinaea is ranked far too low at No. 82 overall regardless of his future position outlook. He's a potential first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Savaiinaea plays with terrific arm extension. His overall athletic profile screams reliable starter at the next level. Savaiinaea is a physical blocker with a stout base, and he's showcased quick feet in pass protection throughout this campaign. He hasn't been credited with allowing a single sack this season. Several teams expected to choose in the middle of the first round will be searching for reliable plug-and-play linemen. We saw his former teammate Jordan Morgan, another tackle-turned-guard convert, earn first-round honors in 2024.
James Pearce Jr., EDGE, Tennessee (No. 38 overall)
In our latest prospect rankings update, Tennessee Volunteers EDGE James Pearce Jr. dropped to No. 38 overall (EDGE4). That’s probably because his 2024 production has yet to meet expectations. Pearce Jr. has recorded just two sacks this year, though he’s starting to round into form.
Pearce Jr. has recorded a half-sack-or-more in three straight appearances. His pressure rate of 17.6% ranks fourth in the country, according to ESPN Stats & Info. The Volunteers have some big-time games coming up on their schedule, including one this weekend against Jalen Milroe and Alabama. Carson Beck and the Georgia Bulldogs are on the docket in mid-November. If Pearce Jr. starts showing up in front of NFL scouts, he'll solidify himself as a top-10 selection in April.
