The Kansas City Chiefs failed to execute the three-peat, losing Super Bowl LIX 40-22 to the Philadelphia Eagles. Starting quarterback Patrick Mahomes committed multiple turnovers as he was under constant duress. The Chiefs will now enter the offseason attempting to improve their weaknesses.

They risk losing several big-time contributors to free agency this offseason. Players on expiring contracts include right guard Trey Smith, linebacker Nick Bolton, safety Justin Reid, wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, and defensive lineman Tarshawn Wharton.

Chiefs general manager Brett Veach will possess the No. 31 overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft. They own four top-100 picks in total. A high-quality draft class would help Andy Reid's squad return to glory in 2025. We've conducted a seven-round mock draft that achieves that.

Round 1 (No. 31 overall): Aireontae Ersery, OT, Minnesota

The Chiefs have invested draft capital into the left tackle position. The problem? The lightbulb has yet to come on for Wanya Morris or Kingsley Suamataia. Reid was forced to utilize a natural guard in Joe Thuney to protect Mahomes' blindside. They can't afford to keep waiting. Aireontae Ersery is a physically gifted prospect with length and strength. Ersery is a pro-ready blocker.

Round 2 (No. 63 overall): Darius Alexander, DT, Toledo

The Chiefs saw firsthand how a deep defensive line can control the line of scrimmage and dictate a Super Bowl’s outcome. Wharton is an underrated player on an expiring contract, and Chris Jones isn't getting younger. Needing more depth and versatility, Toledo's Darius Alexander was downright dominant at the Senior Bowl. Alexander established himself as a top-75 selection, showcasing the potential to be a game wrecker.

Round 3 (No. 66 overall): Demetrius Knight Jr., LB, South Carolina

Bolton will likely sign a more lucrative contract elsewhere. Needing a new partner for Drue Tranquill, the Chiefs find an instant starter in the middle rounds. Demetrius Knight Jr. is an instinctive three-down defender. Knight Jr. can play in coverage, and he also possesses an urgent, violent downhill trigger.

Round 3 (No. 95 overall): Miles Frazier, OL, LSU

Starting right guard Smith will demand a contract worth more than $20 million annually, making the Chiefs extremely unlikely to re-sign their superstar offensive lineman. Miles Frazier possesses tackle-guard flexibility, but his most natural fit is inside. He is physical and imposing and uses first-step quickness to gain the upper hand.

Round 4 (No. 132 overall): Kobe Hudson, WR, UCF

A lack of high-end offensive weapons was evident throughout Sunday's shortcoming. The Chiefs will hope to have Rashee Rice in 2025, and they're also counting on Xavier Worthy to take a step forward. Still, with Hopkins likely leaving, another wideout is required. Kobe Hudson is a technically advanced route-runner with impressive ball-tracking ability.

Round 7 (No. 256 overall): Rivaldo Fairweather, TE, Auburn

Will Travis Kelce mull retirement this offseason? If so, the Chiefs could address tight end far earlier than this. Rivaldo Fairweather was a Shrine Bowl performer and consistent standout at Auburn, securing 13 career touchdown passes and flirting with 400 receiving yards in three consecutive seasons.
